This fast-paced project was the first designed by the collaborative efforts of Studio AQ and Design Ka:Tha. The site was a compact, office space that was required to house the many needs of an expanding work force like increased workstations, a reception area, boss' cabin, server room and plenty of storage as well. The office also needed to accommodate multiple activities from time to time. We needed a solution that afforded flexibility, which would be able to evolve when required.
We incorporated movable furniture which could be re-arranged in various configurations of seating. A marker-board was added as a wall feature. Since the office had long working hours and very little natural light, white furniture with a dash of bright, cheerful colours that reflect the colours of those in the company logo that were added to a light-wood palette to make the space vibrant. A mezzanine level is accessed by a suspended staircase that has a minimal footprint and allows for a printer-station to be placed in the space underneath it.
