Guest House for the Kakode's
Designing this 375 sq.ft micro apartment with Design Ka:Tha for our favourite clients Priyanka and Ameet Kakode has been one of the best creative experiences that we have had. The brief was unique as the apartment was to be used as their guest house and a property that they could rent out as an Air BnB. The clients required a flexible format of living that could quickly and seamlessly adapt to different functions whenever required. From an area to accommodate long and short term guests, to hosting friends and conducting business meetings, the apartment accommodates it all. Flexible spaces are achieved by replacing masonry walls with custom-made partition walls and furniture that can be adjusted to afford various functions. Bright colours and chic accents add to the ‘holiday apartment’ vibe. Our favourite is the red entrance door, an idea that the client wanted to incorporate, and is indeed the highlight of this project.
